Job Description:
General Description: This position is an integral part of the
National Operations team. Responsible for developing and executing
national strategies and direction. Drive operational top
priorities, best practices, process improvement, and acquisition
integration across the business. Work in coordination with practice
leaders, program managers, branch leaders, technical resources, and
operations leaders to drive the business' services and current
initiatives.Responsibilities:
- Ownership of various projects and initiatives as a result of
annually developed top priorities. Includes data quality,
acquisition integration, KPI, reporting, etc.
- Work with Operations team, Technical Resources, Finance, HR,
IT, and legal departments on applicable initiatives, projects, and
changes.
- Perform operational tasks and execute on projects. Identify
recommendations to optimize operational performance.
- Identify areas needing improvement. Work with production teams
to develop, implement, and monitor plans for improvement.
- Conduct regular calls with leaders.
- Work with COO and leaders to ensure compliance with profit and
growth objectives. Includes regional metrics, blueprinting
assistance, Shape, and staffing.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of national team
members and determine when to involve them in initiatives. Provide
updates on ongoing initiatives during weekly team calls.
- Prepare monthly reporting outlining progress, status, and the
next steps of assigned areas.
- May be accountable for recruitment, management, and development
of team members.
- May have management responsibilities for operations staff
members during leadership transition.Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities:
- 10 years of experience in positions of increasing
responsibility in commercial property & casualty operations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Broad understanding of property & casualty insurance coverages,
underwriting, and rating concepts.
- Familiar with products, services, competitive offerings, market
needs, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, manage projects, and
drive adherence to procedures.
- Leadership ability with professional demeanor.
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing
skills.
- Exceptionally strong analytical ability, communication skills,
and work ethic.
- Working knowledge of information systems and databases.
Includes Microsoft Office products and commercial lines agency
management systems (i.e. Concept1, AIM by Vertafore, and
ImageRight).Physical Demands:Work is performed in a
climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and
limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate
office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer
monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine.
Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, bending,
and typing.Analysis of Physical Demands:

to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard,
and sitting at a desk.
