Job Summary

Auburn University is excited to begin the search for an Assessment & Strategic Planning Graduate Assistant! The mission of Assessment & Strategic Planning is to foster a culture of evidence throughout Student Affairs to provide effective and efficient co-curricular programs and services for students that support the strategic priorities of Auburn University and Student Affairs, including student learning, success, and development.




Essential Functions


  • Develop assessment and strategic planning resources
  • Assist with assessment and strategic planning training opportunities for division staff members
  • Attend Assessment Team meetings and record minutes
  • Perform data entry for evaluations and assessments
  • Research student affairs assessment best practices
  • Assist with program review
  • Update Assessment & Strategic Planning website
  • Develop/plan surveys, focus groups, and other assessments
  • Assist division staff members, as needed, on assessment and strategic planning projects
  • Provide support to the Director of Assessment & Strategic Planning





    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must be enrolled as of spring 2025 in a graduate program at Auburn University (preference will be given to Ph.D. students in Higher Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field)



      Expectations:

      • Knowledge of assessment, planning, evaluation, accreditation, and/or statistics is preferable
      • Experience in student affairs is desired
      • Experience with WordPress, SPSS, Excel, and Power BI are a plus
      • Demonstrated presentation and teaching skills are preferable
      • Ability to work 20 hours per week maximum
      • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
      • Ability to work independently, follow up on assignments, and take initiative on projects
      • Strong desire to learn, build relationships, and gain new experiences





        Preferred Qualifications





        Pay Rate
        $2,250/monthly $27,000/annually
