Job Description:
A company is looking for an IBM DB2 for z/OS Performance Expert
on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
Perform performance tuning of DB2 for z/OS environments at both
system and application levels
Monitor DB2 performance using tools like Omegamon, Apptune, and
SYSVIEW, implementing tuning strategies
Analyze SMF data and utilize profiling tools to diagnose and
resolve application performance bottlenecks
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience in DB2 systems and application performance
tuning
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as Omegamon,
Apptune, and SYSVIEW
Proficient in SQL tuning using tools like Explain
Experience with application profiling tools such as BMC Strobe or
IBM Application Performance Analyzer
Expertise in Parallel Sysplex data sharing environments on z/OS
