Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: [Not specified] Experience: Minimum of 2 years; First-time travelers are accepted License: GA or Compact License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience with adult to geriatric patient populations - Familiarity with unit systems such as Epic and Pyxis Job Description: - Work with diagnoses including sepsis, hypertensive emergencies, chest pain, pneumonia, COVID-19, diabetes, pleural effusion, osteomyelitis, anemia, small bowel obstruction, acute kidney injury, end-stage renal disease, peritonitis, GI bleeding, syncope, atrial fibrillation, cholecystitis, appendicitis, cancer, hip fractures, spinal stenosis, spinal decompression, hysterectomy, TURP, cystoscopy. - Perform peritoneal dialysis with manual exchanges. - Transfer patients requiring specific procedures to another campus. - Handle a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 within a 28-bed unit. - Maintain compliance with unit systems such as Epic and SBAR. - Work in royal blue scrubs. - Availability to work every other weekend and float within scope across the facility. - Work during major holidays, depending on the assignment period. - Ensure full compliance for an on-time start; non-compliance results in a 2-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. - Complete non-billable modules during the 13-hour orientation. (Note: Ensure availability to submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing for an on-time start.)
