Emory Healthcare is where belonging meets purpose. -Emory Orthopedics at Stonecrest has an opportunity for an Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) working with an Orthopedic Trauma surgeon. - -The Orthopedic APP will 1st Assist in the OR 2 days a week and run independent clinic 2.5 days per week. - There will be some inpatient rounding responsibilities in this position. - Position may be open to a recent graduate with demonstrated commitment and interested in Orthopedic training. - - -1st Assist time in the OR will be split between Emory Hillandale and Emory Decatur Hospitals. -Our APP's are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system. - Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team:

• Comprehensive benefits that start Day 1Emory Orthopedics is recruiting an Orthopedic APP for an opportunity to work with Orthopedic Trauma cases. - -Position may be open to a recent graduate with demonstrated commitment and interest in Orthopedic trauma and surgical training. - - -Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP). -Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
  • Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.
  • Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.
  • Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes.
  • Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
    • Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
    • Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
    • May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.
    • BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.JOIN OUR TEAM TODAY!
