Voca is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a
travel nursing job in Montgomery, Alabama.Job Description &
Requirements
Number of Beds (if applicable): 16 L&D, 8 OBED, 10
Antepartum
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No
Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
Patient Types:
Pregnant (PIH, HELLP, multiples, Preeclampsia/eclampsia
Patient Ratios: Labor 1:2; 1:3 OBED patients, Antepartum 1:4
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal
Monitoring
Skills required (EX: trach care, chest tube, ART line):
Support on the Unit:
CNA (Ratio:)
Receptionist/HUC? Yes
Charge nurse? Yes
Phlebotomy? We draw own labs, but are supported by lab if
needed
IV/VAT Team? Yes, we have vascular access but we place own IVs
Hospitalist? 24/7 OB hospitalist
Telemetry monitoring tech? Are RNs required to read/measure tele
strips? Not required
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Cerner/Fetalink
IV pumps: Plum 360
Medication dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: GE fetal monitor/Spacelabs
