Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: CVOR Job Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years, Unit accepts first-time travelers License: Must have GA or Compact license in hand at the time of application Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: Experience in Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic procedures; Heart Transplant experience is highly preferred Job Description: - Pre-Screen Unit: Candidates will be reviewed to determine clinical fit. Successful candidates will advance to a final decision by the manager.- Clinical screens are assessed on a case-by-case basis.- Rotation for weekends and holiday work is expected, with specific holiday participation outlined.- On-call requirements include typically one weekday/call every week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks.- Floating is required as candidates may need to work in the Main OR if necessary.- Scrubs are provided.- Compliance must be complete to start on time, with potential delays impacting orientation by two weeks due to the bi-weekly schedule.- The patient population includes adults to geriatrics specializing in the CVOR.- Unit systems utilized: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR- Candidates need to be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs promptly upon signing the contract to ensure an on-time start.
